If you've taken a basic Encaustic class and are looking to broaden your skills than this is
the class for you! Explore different techniques such as using transfers and pre-made
or hand cut stencils, using alternative grounds and working sculpturally.

Special notes and items to bring:

Special notes and items to bring: Be sure to bring high contrast photocopies or laser prints
(NOT inkjet) of photos, drawings, or whatever images you like. (Make sure they are no
more than a few days old!) You may also bring any materials or tools you like to work
with, ephemera, stamps, texturing tools, etc.

In this class you will learn to use and practice the following tools/techniques:

Using a Kistka

Applying chemical-free transfers using laser prints and/or photocopies

Using your own hand cut stencils

Masks

Trace Prints

You will also have a chance to experiment with alternative grounds and working sculpturally!
