My Bio

I was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1976. I've wanted to be an artist for as long as I can
remember. I am number three of six--I have four brothers and a sister, and have since
acquired numerous step brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews. I was
brought up in Hood River, Oregon until age twelve at which time my family moved to
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. In Idaho I graduated High School and began my long college
career at North Idaho College.

I moved a lot so I ended up attending six different colleges (See Resume for details).
For the most part I have stayed in the Northwest but I was lucky enough to spend a
semester at Burren College in Ireland as well. Throughout college I studied Art History,
Bookmaking, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Welding. I ended
up with a major in Oil Painting and a double minor in Art History and Sculpture from
Portland State University.

I consider myself a process artist. I am always trying to learn new
mediums, processes, techniques and crafts to broaden my skills.
Although I most often work with oils, my medium for any given project
depends on my inspiration.
